IEA Latin America builds on the success of Academia Buenos Aires and Academia Uruguay, which were founded in 2004 and 2007 respectively as Spanish language schools. Accredited by the Spanish Instituto Cervantes and the Ministry of Education in Uruguay, these sites welcome over a thousand Spanish language learners each year from over 45 different countries and also serve IEA for its Spanish language program offerings. Both schools are members of the respective national language school associations, SEA (Argentina) and GTI (Uruguay) and adhere to the principles of the network for responsible travel RTR Global.
By 2009, IEA had added a series of new languages to its portfolio in Montevideo and Buenos Aires which were regrouped under the name of Academia Montevideo and ABALenguas, respectively. As of today, IEA offers on-site language instruction to hundreds of students in English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese and Russian.
We offer an even wider range of languages in our online courses, such as Modern Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Corean and many more.
IEA has an important number of full-time teachers and coordinators and an even wider pool of qualified contracted teachers to serve even the largest contracts. In addition, IEA is part of a network of fully accredited independent language schools in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America which offer a wide variety of languages locally and online.
